Pastiche Design embraces the opportunity to work on personal projects, providing unique designs as distinctive as your style. Displayed here are three invitation designs based on a theme.
The “Baby Brewing” Couples Shower Invitation was designed gender neutral as the couple had no idea if they were expecting a baby boy or a baby girl. This event was a couples shower, and we wanted the invitation to appeal to both men and women. Using a muted color palette, hand-rendered type graphically displays the event’s details. And you guessed it – there was definitely beer flowing at this baby shower!
The King Cake Baby Shower Invitation was a unique request. I had not seen Mardi Gras used as a theme for a baby shower before! As most Southerners know, the baby historically symbolizes luck and prosperity to whoever finds it in his/her slice of cake. Furthermore, many traditionalists designate the finder of the baby “king” or “queen” for the evening. Here we opted for a softer variation of traditional Mardi Gras colors (purple, green and gold) to create a personalized invitation that features a stork adorned with a carnival mask. I think we all know who was responsible for purchasing next year’s cake after this event!
The Where the Wild Things Are Invitation was inspired by Maurice Sendak’s famous children’s book. A tribal blue background was chosen as a subtle way to let invitees know the proud parents are expecting a boy. Gold was selected as the secondary color to symbolize royalty as Max is the “king” of all wild things. The imaginary monsters make another appearance on the Thank You card designed to send after the shower.
Whether you’re planning a wedding, birthday party, baby or bridal shower, we can help create a theme and use it throughout the event. If interested in personalizing an existing design, we can help with that too! We encourage you to contact us if you want to collaborate on a custom project.
